Laodong Miao Village is one of the best preserved Miao Villages in western Hunan, with a history of more than 600 years. There was no electricity here before 2000, and it was not opened to traffic until 2005. Therefore, compared with other Miao villages, it retains a more primitive and simple ethnic style. Every family in the Miao village is connected with each other, and there is a huge Miao unique military fossil building "Ma's house" to fight against the banditry in western Hunan.

This is a stone city with a layout of nine palaces and eight trigrams. The design is exquisite, and the offensive and defensive systems and drainage systems are quite complete. It used to have a rich and glorious history. until1936, More than 1,000 bandits from Wulong Mountain attacked Laodong Miao Village for 12 days and 12 nights, burned two ancient buildings in Laodong, and took away more than 10,000 yuan of Yin Guangyang, more than 10,000 catties of copper dollars, and more than 300 catties of silver ingots. From then on, Laodong Miao Village fell into the mountains and fell into poverty and gradually became unknown.
