Leidongping is the terminal station of the sightseeing bus in the scenic area. There is a direct shuttle bus from Baoguo Temple Passenger Transport Center at the foot of the mountain. This is also the only place to go to the Golden Summit. No matter which route you choose to visit, you will pass through here when you go to the Golden Summit. Because the price is relatively cheap, most tourists who go to Jinding to watch the sunrise stay here the day before. Leidongping, 2430 meters above sea level, is located on Lianwang slope, between Baiyun Pavilion and Jieyin hall. On the way from Huayanding to Leidongping, you will pass through the largest alpine rhododendron reserve in the country. The snow accumulation period here is longer than that of Jinding, and it is often shrouded in misty mist. It is 1.5 kilometers away from here to the Jinding Cableway (Jieyin Hall), and it takes about 0.5-1 hour to walk. There are two main attractions nearby, one is the monkey area and the other is the ski resort. The monkeys here are more civilized than those in the Qingyinge monkey area, but don't mess with them; the ski resort is only open in winter.
