Nitrogen Cave is located in Shawan District, Leshan, Sichuan Province, beside the Dadu River, hidden in a huge natural sinkhole. The name of the nitrate hole comes from the history of mining and boiling nitrate for more than a thousand years. Until the beginning of the last century, the nitrate hole was still an important source of raw materials for explosives, so it was continuously mined. The entrance of the cave and the main cave are natural karst caves with an average diameter of about 20 meters and a total area of about 30,000 square meters.

The famous Niitouyan Waterfall hangs above the Nitrate Cave. The Liugou stream in Qilong Village under Si'e Mountain falls from here to the mouth of the Nitrate Cave to form a waterfall. According to local villagers, this waterfall also has the function of distinguishing time. At different times of the day, the waterfall will float to different places at different angles. The surroundings of the cliff are naturally closed, forming a huge foot-shaped tiankeng. There are a few white clouds floating in the blue sky, just like the tattoos on the "foot board".
