Lhotse Peak is 8516 meters above sea level and is the fourth highest peak in the world. It is located 3 kilometers south of Mount Everest, separated by a col, commonly known as the "South Col". It is bounded by the north ridge and southeast ridge of the mountain, the east side is in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, and the west side belongs to Nepal.

The Tibetan language of Lhotse Peak is called "Dingjiexie Sangma", which means "blue and beautiful fairy". The terrain of this "fairy" is extremely steep and the environment is extremely complicated. So far, no one has successfully climbed from the Chinese side of Dongpo.
