The Liangshan Yi Nationality Slave Society Museum is located in the middle of the Lushan Scenic Area. It is a building with the classical style of the Yi nationality. It is backed by the Qingshan Mountain and faces the Qionghai Sea. The Liangshan Yi Nationality Slave Society Museum was completed and opened on August 4, 1985. This is the first national museum in my country, and it is also a special museum reflecting the slave society in the world. Liangshan is the largest Yi nationality inhabited area in my country. In the early 1950s, most of the areas here still retained a relatively complete form of slave society. After the implementation of democratic reforms in 1956, Liangshan leaped from a slave society to a socialist society step by step. In order to preserve the objects and materials of the slave society and provide conditions for the research and display of this special and typical social form, the Liangshan Yi Nationality Slave Society Museum was completed and opened on August 4, 1985.
