Liao Shangjing Ruins

Liao Shangjing site is located in the southeastern suburb of Lindong Town, Bahrain Zuoqi. It is the capital city established earlier in the Liao Dynasty, with a history of more than 1,000 years.

 

The site is large in scale and majestic, with a circumference of 13 kilometers. It is divided into ten cities in the north and south, mainly including Seoul and so on. There is a brick pagoda in the north and south of Shangjing, commonly known as the South Tower and the North Tower. The south tower has 7 octagonal floors and is 25 meters high; the north tower has 5 hexagonal floors, of which 4 floors remain and is about 10 meters high.
