The real name of the Liaoqingzhou White Pagoda is Sakyamuni Relic Pagoda, which was built by Buddhists to worship the cremated relics of Sakyamuni. Because of its white appearance, it is commonly known as Liaoqingzhou White Pagoda, and local herdsmen call it " Jinjinchahan Sobulga". The White Pagoda is located on the alluvial plain of the Chagan Mulun River in the northeast of Suoborigasumu Station in Balin Right Banner, Chifeng City, in the northwest of Qingzhou City, 300 kilometers away from Chifeng.
The White Pagoda is an octagonal, seven-level, 73.27-meter-high brick-and-wood structure arched tower. It was first built in 1047. The overall appearance of the pagoda is as white as jade, tall and straight and beautiful, sitting on a plain, straight into the blue sky, backed by green mountains and facing white water. . There are 856 round and prismatic bronze mirrors on the doors and windows, lintel arches, brick-carved bucket arches and arch eyes on the tower, and brick-carved columns at the corners. There is a bronze figure cast on each of the eight ridges on the top of the tower. There is a copper chi head in front of each bronze figure, and a bronze phoenix in front of the chi head. The reliefs on the tower body vividly express the religious thoughts of Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism and shamanism, faintly revealing the characteristics of "Xing Mi Yuan Tong" of Buddhism in the Liao Dynasty.
During the maintenance of the White Pagoda in 1989, a batch of Liao Dynasty Bibles, engraved and printed Buddhist scriptures secreted according to the Buddhist rituals of the Liao Dynasty were discovered in the Tasha Xiangluntang and other places, and wooden relics containing engraved and printed Dharani scriptures There are 108 towers.
