"If you don't come to Luoyang City without Lijing Gate", Lijing Gate was built in the Sui Dynasty. It is the west gate of the ancient city of Luoyang and has the reputation of "the first gate of the ancient capital". The current Lijingmen Scenic Area is rebuilt on the original site of the Luoyang Municipal Government. It is composed of the gate tower, the urn, the arrow tower, the city wall, the Lijing Bridge and the moat. It is also the location of the Luoyang Old Street. Tourists can come here to watch the scenery, taste local snacks, and learn about the long-standing Heluo culture.
New Year's Bell Ringing Event:
Every year when we bid farewell to the old and usher in the new, the Lijingmen Gate Tower will hold the "Zero O'clock Ringing of the New Year" event. Visitors can go up to the city and ring the 108 rings, which symbolize the prosperity, auspiciousness, peace and happiness of the new year, echoing the bells of the Ma Temple.
