    Lingshan Temple is located in the Lingshan Scenic Area 17 kilometers east of Mianning County. It is located at the foot of Lingshan Mountain, a branch of the west extension of Xiaoxiangling Mountain.
    Lingshan Scenic Area covers an area of 29 square kilometers, with a planned protection area of 40 square kilometers and an altitude of 2530 meters. According to legend, during the reign of Emperor Qianlong, a Buddhist disciple Yang Xuexin (Dharma name Wuzhen) traveled to the "Four Famous Mountains" and passed by Lingshan in Mianning. He saw that there were clouds shrouded in it. Looking forward, he was moved by the strange scenery of Lingshan, so he decided to build a temple in Lingshan. It took 15 years to build Lingshan Temple and spread the Dharma for 21 springs and autumns. There were 48 disciples. After his death in 1804, his body was not corrupt and was enshrined in the Buddhist hall by his disciples for 160 years. Moreover, it has left behind the magnificent "seven stars holding the moon" temple, and created the temple style of "goodness is the best, and the spirit will last forever" for later generations.
    Lingshan Temple is famous all over the world and known for its "efficacy". Every year from July 18th to 28th of the lunar calendar is the temple fair period (Patriarch Fair), and it is also the peak period for incense worship and tourism. There are huge crowds of people inside and outside the temple. , in an endless stream, sometimes as many as 10,000 people a day.
    Lingshan is not only famous for its "efficacy", but also hidden in the depths of Lingshan for thousands of years, there are little-known landscapes such as the Red Sea, the Mohai, the Lianshan Sea, the Crotch Sea, the Xiangyangping Waterfall, and the Spraying Rock Waterfall. , and now they have gradually revealed their dreamlike and magical beauty, adding endless charm to Lingshan Temple.
