Lingya Temple is surrounded by mountains and rivers, sitting east to west, and built on the back of two natural large karst caves on the rocks. It is a provincial key cultural relics protection unit. . The natural landscape and cultural landscape in the temple are ingeniously combined, known as "the pearl of the old way" and "the forest of small steles in southern Shaanxi".

The temple is built according to the terrain, and the mountain road is winding along the mountain, quiet and elegant, with towering ancient trees and shady green leaves on the roadside. Lingya Temple was built in the first year of Tang Kaiyuan (713-714 A.D.), with a history of more than 1,200 years. It has been a religious tourist attraction in the surrounding area since ancient times, and with its long history, there are countless legends and anecdotes. Li Bai, Du Fu, Wu Daozi, Li Keran, Yu Youren and other literati all left their pen and ink here. There are inscriptions of Han, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing and other dynasties in the temple, and there are many cliff carvings around the front cave wall, which are of high value for art and calligraphy research.
