Lingyuanqing is located at the west foot of Hushan Mountain in the eastern suburb of Yongsheng County, Lijiang, 3 kilometers northeast of Yongsheng County, with an area of about 100 hectares. It is also known as Guanyinqing, and is one of the scenic spots in western Yunnan.
The environment here is quiet and the scenery is beautiful. It is especially famous for the Avalokitesvara carved in Moyan in the Song Dynasty. It has been listed as a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level in Yunnan. The Guanyin Pavilion, the main hall of the scenic spot, was first built in the Tang Dynasty and has been repaired in successive dynasties. The existing building was rebuilt on the old site in the second year of Guangxu (1876). The inner hall of Guanyin Pavilion is made of exquisite wood carvings, and the railing corridor outside the hall is inlaid with marble, exquisitely carved and magnificent. The Avalokitesvara statue carved on the stone wall in the hall is 178 cm high and 75 cm wide, with the words "Tang and Wu Daozi brush" written next to it. Lingyuanqing is surrounded by two peaks, divided by one water, with steep cliffs and lush bamboo forests. Below is the Holy Land of Spiritual Source, above is the Feige Pavilion, the deep forest ravine, the cold sweet spring, the ancient Vatican Palace, as well as the inscriptions and stone carvings of the predecessors, which constitute this cool extraterritorial cave.
The entire Lingyuanqing Scenic Area is shaded by thick shade, with temples, pavilions and corridors looming along the banks of the river. Lingyuanqing Guanyin Pavilion is the only remaining Buddhist temple in Yongsheng City. Since ancient times, it has been full of incense and tourists.
