Wuding County Lion Mountain Scenic Area is located in Wuding County, Chuxiong Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is named after the shape of the mountain resembles a lying lion. Lion Mountain is a tourist attraction integrating natural scenery and cultural landscape. The scenic spot attracts tourists from all over the world with its beautiful natural scenery, long and splendid history and culture, profound Buddhist cultural heritage, and the unique peony and peony boutique garden in the southwest.
The main peak of Lion Mountain is 2,452 meters above sea level, with an average annual rainfall of 1,159 mm and an annual average temperature of 13.2°C. There is no severe cold in winter and no extreme heat in summer. There are 1,157 species of seed plants in 137 families and 538 genera in the scenic area, including 265 species of mountain flowers, and 411,000 trees with a breast diameter of more than 30 cm, making most of the scenic spots hidden in emerald green bushes.
