Zongshan Small Potala Palace is located on the hill north of Shigatse City. It is named for its resemblance to the Potala Palace. Seen from a distance, the red and white walls of the "Little Potala Palace" are very conspicuous under the sunlight, and its majestic "figure" can be seen even from far away. It is one of the landmark buildings in Shigatse.
In fact, the real name of the Little Potala Palace is Sangzhu Zizongbao. It was built in 1360 and played an important role in history. From the 14th century to the 15th century, the Naidong Dynasty built 13 castles in total. Due to the high terrain, overlooking the entire Shigatse here, the view is very good.
