Xiaochaidamu Lake, also known as Xiaochaidan Lake, is located on the east side of the Xiaochaidan transportation hub in Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. It covers an area of about 69.82 square kilometers and belongs to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Its watershed is divided into rivers in the internal flow area, and the secondary watershed is the Qaidam internal flow area. You can come to the lake by exiting the expressway near the intersection of Dexiao Expressway and Liuge Expressway.
On the vast Northwest Gobi, Xiaochaidan Lake is like an oasis, greenery can be seen from a distance, but the lake water is so blue that it is clear to the bottom. There is a half-person-high reed growing by the lake, swaying and whirling in the breeze, and the environment is very beautiful, which is in sharp contrast with the vast Gobi Desert on the opposite side.
