Liubei Pool is located at the foot of Tianzhu Mountain on the north bank of Minjiang River in Yibin City. In the first year of Yuanfu in the Northern Song Dynasty (1098), when the great poet Huang Tingjian lived in Rongzhou (now Yibin), it was built after the artistic conception of Wang Xizhi's "Lanting Collection Preface".
The pool is built in the canyon of strange rock peaks, looking up at the blue sky. On the stone walls on both sides of the pool, there are more than 90 relics of poems and calligraphy stone inscriptions by famous people in Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. The pool is in a nine-curved shape, 52 meters long and 0.5 meters wide. The creek flows out of the valley, and the water flows 90% off, sinking into the crevices of the rocks. There are 8 stone benches by the pool, where you can sit around and drink with cups. To commemorate Huang Tingjian, later generations named the surrounding terrain as Fuweng Valley, Fuweng Cave, and Fuweng Rock, and built Lihong Pavilion, Fuweng Building, Fuweng Shi, and valleys outside Shouchi. After the 1980s, 20 ink and stone carvings by famous calligraphers Zhang Daqian, Huang Binhong, Bao Bichen and others were newly engraved. Now it has been developed into a park with an area of 157,000 square meters. "Qushui Liushang" is one of the eight ancient scenic spots in Yibin.
