Liuku is located in Lushui County, Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, where the state government is located. It is famous for the "bathhouse party" during the Spring Festival every year. Liuku is adjacent to Biluo Snow Mountain in the east and Gaoligong Mountain in the west. Many travelers start their trips to the Nu River from here.

Liuku is the south gate to travel to Nujiang Prefecture. The mighty Nujiang River passes through the city, dividing Liuku into two parts. There are Nujiang Bridge (highway bridge) and Xiangyang Bridge (pedestrian bridge) on the river to connect the two parts. Xiangyang Bridge is a must-visit place for tourists. It was built in 1970. On the pylons at both ends of the bridge, there are still poems: "A bridge flies from north to south, and the natural moat turns into a thoroughfare", which is a true portrayal of this bridge. The difference is that the Xiangyang Bridge is "a bridge flying over things".

The main scenic spots in Liuku include: Nujiang Bridge, Ancient Kapok, Tusi Yamen, Dafo Temple, Mabu Hot Spring, etc.
