Gushan Fort is located in Fugu County. It is named for its location on the hillside on the north side of Gushan River. It is an important pass fort in Yulin Town on the Ming Great Wall. Except for the city gate cave, the urn city and several courtyards outside the city, what can be seen in the Gushan Fort now has changed its appearance. Only the "Seven Star Temple" at the north gate still attracts tourists. According to folklore, Qixing Temple is the place where Yang Jiye, the Duke of the Golden Sword, and Zhe Saihua (Taijun She) privately decided to live their lives. It is quite legendary.

According to "Yulin Mansion Records": "Gushan Fort" was placed in Xishan in the second year of Zhengtong in Ming Dynasty (1437), and moved to the city in Chenghua. Facing the river, there is no water spring in the city. In the 35th year of Wanli (1607), Tu Zong, the governor, built it with bricks." According to folklore, the Qixing Temple was built in the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty (one said it was built in the early Song Dynasty). Reconstruction started in the fifth year (1577) of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty and was completed in the sixth year (1578).
