Longjiang Park was built in 1981. This was originally the old channel of the Longchuan River, shaped like a horseshoe, hence the name Horseshoe Bend. Now due to the diversion of the Longchuan River, it has been turned into a park. The total area is more than 170 mu. The buildings here are arranged in a rich and harmonious way. The small plum garden in the north, the corridor and the attic, surrounded by plum trees, are clean and elegant, and there are often exhibitions of flowers, writings, calligraphy and paintings. The ice skating rink, yacht wharf, and boat-style floating tea house in the southeast corner can be used for drinking tea or enjoying a boat trip; the grid flower island, crabapple forest and green lawn in the northeast corner are deep and secluded. As for the children's playground in the stone archway to the north, it is available for children to play. The whole park has not only the beauty of gardens, but also the fun of amusement. The old name of Chuxiong was Lucheng, so the statues of deer carved in Longjiang Park are the symbol of Lucheng. At the same time, there is also a beautiful statue of Miyilu, who represents the kindness, simplicity and bravery of the Yi people; murals reflecting the unique flower arrangement life of the Yi people are being drawn. The well-known poems left by celebrities from past dynasties when they visited Chuxiong are also engraved in the garden.
