Longmen is located in Kunming Xishan Scenic Area and is the main scenic spot of Xishan Scenic Area. Here you can overlook the vast Tianchi Lake, appreciate the Taoist monuments, and even the rock walls of the grottoes, which have been dug for 72 years, are very precious.
To visit the Longmen Scenic Area, you can take an eco-friendly car at the foot of the West Mountain, or you can take the cableway directly from Yunnan Nationality Village or Haigeng Park. After entering the scenic spot, you can walk along the stone wall plank road. The thousands of steps along the way and the reliefs, stone carvings and Shandong that can be seen everywhere along the way are all carved by craftsmen in the Qing Dynasty using primitive tools. The entire project has a history of 72 years. It was completed, which is magnificent.
Datian Pavilion is the commanding height of Longmen. It has a special viewing platform. Standing on the platform, you can overlook the vast 500-mile Dianchi Lake. After passing the viewing platform and continuing forward, you can reach Lingxu Pavilion. Lingxu Pavilion is higher than Datian Pavilion and has a wider view. There are Taoist temples in these places, where Taoist gods are enshrined. The photo of the incense burner, Dianchi Lake and the distant urban area is very beautiful. After the tour, you can take the Longmen Cableway back to Taihua Villa on the mountainside (near the entrance of Longmen Scenic Area).
