The Longwu River is a tributary of the Yellow River in the Qinghai Basin. The river flows from south to north until it joins the Yellow River near Jianzha County.
Departing from Xiahe County, where Labrang Monastery is located in Gannan, to Xining, Qinghai, besides detouring Linxia or Lanzhou, there is also a road directly from Ganga Grassland and Guashi to Huangnan. Along this road from Huangnan to Jianzha, there will be a muddy yellow river on the side of the road, which is the Longwu River. On both sides of the river are high mountains and canyons, among which there are many Danxia landforms with unique colors and shapes. There are also many Tibetan murals on the cliffs, and there are huge paintings of Buddha statues in some places, which are very spectacular.
When approaching Jianzha County, the Longwu River flows into the Yellow River here. It can be seen that the Yellow River was green and clear before, and it turned yellow instantly after passing through here. It is very unique to take pictures.
