Longwu Temple is located in the southwest of Tongren County, Huangnan Prefecture. It was built in the Yuan Dynasty. It is one of the famous temples of Tibetan Buddhism in the Anduo Tibetan area (in Qinghai and Gansu). Its scale and status here are second only to Kumbum Monastery and Labrang Monastery is an ancient Tibetan Buddhist monastery. Visiting Longwu Temple, you can watch the magnificent Tibetan Buddhist monastery complex, learn about the stories of Tibetan Buddhism, and watch many exquisite Thangkas. It is a good tourist destination. More importantly, it is quieter and purer than Kumbum Monastery, which is a good choice for tourists who like quietness.

Like the general Tibetan Buddhist temples, Longwu Temple is composed of many scattered buildings. The main hall in the scenic area is the Great Sutra Hall of Wensi College, which is equivalent to the Daxiong Hall of Chinese Buddhism. There will be monks debating scriptures here every afternoon, so you can come and watch it. Other buildings in the temple mainly include Tiannv Hall, Lingta Hall, Guanyin Hall, Manjusri Hall, Quwa Hall, etc., which can be viewed one by one. The feature here is the Thangka works. Since Tongren County is the famous hometown of Regong art, the Thangkas here are exceptionally exquisite and worth visiting. There are also some magnificent sculptures of Buddha statues in the open space of the courtyard in the temple, which can be watched.
