Longxing Temple, also known as Dafo Temple, is located in the county seat of Zhengding County, Shijiazhuang City. It is a must-see attraction when you come to Shijiazhuang. The temple was first built in the Sui Dynasty and has undergone several generations of repairs. It is now one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved temples in the country. Longxing Temple does not have a great reputation today, but it was a temple that was valued by the royal family in history. There are Bodhisattva statues built by Zhao Kuangyin, Emperor Taizu of the Song Dynasty, the footprints of the emperors of the Qing Dynasty, handwritten inscriptions, plaques, etc., which have a very high status, and many pilgrims will worship Buddha here to pray for blessings. In the temple, you can also see many precious cultural relics and ancient buildings in the Song and Jin Dynasties, each with its own characteristics and very precious, so you can visit them one by one.

Longxing Temple is large in scale and has many buildings. The depth of the temple is about 600 meters, and the width is about 200 meters. For main buildings such as Longteng Garden, you can walk along the temple halls one by one after entering the temple. It usually takes about 2-3 hours.

Longxing Temple is known as the Great Buddha Temple, and the main treasure in the temple is a huge statue of Avalokitesvara with Thousand Hands and Thousand Eyes. The Avalokitesvara statue is located at the Dabei Pavilion in the center of the temple, and it is the most worth visiting place in the whole temple. The Guanyin statue was built by Zhao Kuangyin himself in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is 21.3 meters high and is very spectacular. It is the largest ancient Buddha statue in the country. Because of this, the temple is also known as the Great Buddha Temple, so you must take a good look at it here.

The Mani Hall is also the focus of visits in the temple. The north wall of the hall enshrines a colorful statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva sitting upside down. The sitting posture of this statue is very unique, and the colors are very bright and lifelike. Mr. Lu Xun once praised this statue as "personifying God", and this statue is also known as "Oriental God of Beauty". In addition, the building of the Mani Hall itself is also a very unique work of art. It was built in the Song Dynasty. The whole building is in the Song Dynasty style. It was once praised by Mr. Liang Sicheng as a precious "isolated example" of the Song Dynasty Dougong in domestic architecture. In addition to Longxing Temple and Mani Hall, the Jietai of Longxing Temple in the Jietai Hall, the Zhuanlun Zang in the Northern Song Dynasty in the Zhuanlun Zang Pavilion, the 7.4-meter-high wooden Maitreya statue in the Northern Song Dynasty in the Cishi Pavilion, and the Kangxi Temple in the Imperial Stele Pavilion. The inscriptions written by Emperor Qianlong and the Longzang Temple Stele known as the "Group of Regular Scripts" in the Sui Dynasty are all rare treasures in the country, so you must not miss them when you visit here. In addition, there are many landscapes such as the site of the Sixth Master Hall of Dajue, Longteng Garden, etc., which can be visited one by one.
