Longyin Temple, formerly known as "Lingyin Temple" and "Xingjiao Temple", was built in the Han and Tang Dynasties. Later Ming and Qing dynasties were expanded. There are 5 caves dug successively, including buildings such as the Upper Buddha Hall, the Peacock Hall, and the Left and Right Side Halls.

The name of Longyin Temple comes from the legend in Tang Suheng Xiata Temple. According to legend, the "Anshi Rebellion" occurred in the 14th year of Tang Tianbao (755 A.D.). Xuanzong Li Longji fled to Sichuan in a panic. To Wushiyi, Xinyou to Pingliang County..." Li Heng once collapsed in Lingyin Temple. In July of the following year, Li Heng proclaimed himself emperor in Lingwu (now south of Lingwu, Ningxia). Because the emperor is the "true dragon emperor" in people's minds, and Longyin Temple is the place where the emperor lived in seclusion, so the name "Longyin Temple" is still called today.

Longwei Mountain, where Longyin Temple is located, stretches 5 kilometers from east to west, with a vegetation area of nearly 267,000 square meters. What is particularly amazing is that on a cliff, there is a palace suspended in the air, connected to the blue sky above, facing the abyss below, covered by trees and flowers, just like a fairy pavilion, the scenery is very spectacular. There are 4 clear springs in the middle and lower part of Longwei Mountain. The spring water is clear and transparent.

There is also a "Lingqiu" on the mountain, also known as "Longquan". The spring water gushes out from the gap of a milkstone, and when it encounters a cliff, it spins and disperses. According to legend, the water of Longquan is caused by the tears of the jade dragon under the Longwei Mountain. Therefore, it is said that drinking for a long time can improve eyesight and clear away heat, cure illness and prolong life, whiten skin and moisturize skin, and black hair beautify.
