There are three rock paintings in Lumanggou. One is on the north side of the mountain root, and there are more than 50 different forms of beasts carved on a large stone of about 3 square meters; It is rather special, a total of 19 animal statues are engraved, mainly camels, with the same head orientation, reflecting the scene of camels running in the desert.
The three petroglyphs are all carved and hammered. The animal shapes are simple and elegant, the composition is rigorous, and the images are lifelike. The main animals include camels, horses, cows, pigs, goats, big-headed sheep, dogs, wolves, etc. The whole scene shows that the craftsmen have reflected the scene of plateau animals living in groups in a realistic way. According to textual research, the rock paintings were made during the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties when Buddhism prevailed there.
