Shaanxi Luochuan Loess National Geopark is located in Luochuan County, south of Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, with a total area of 5.9 square kilometers. It is a true portrayal of the earth's crustal structure, tectonic movement and landform evolution. The loess strata are fully exposed in each period, and the horizons are stable. It has truly recorded information on paleoclimate, paleoenvironment, paleogeography, paleovegetation, and important geological events since the Quaternary. It can be used as a standard loess stratum profile and loess strata for comparison.
