Luyuanping is located in Banqiao Town, Enshi City, within the Enshi Grand Canyon Development Zone, with an average altitude of 1,700 meters. There are two rivers, one is Liuliao River and the other is Zhongzhong River. Luyuanping is in the middle river basin, deep in the cracks of the canyon , surrounded by cliffs. From Qiaowan Pass on the mountain to Qiaowan at the bottom of the valley, there is a vertical drop of more than 500 meters. Dozens of zigzag turns are used to cut the road down from the cliff, so the locals call it "forty-two turns". There are a total of 1528 steps in the mountain path. Due to this special terrain, the landscape, forest, field road and farmhouses in Luyuanping have remained in their original ecology, and unique culture and customs have been formed.
