An evolved species in macaques. Taihang macaques inhabit coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests, shrub forests and cliffs all year round. They like to live in groups. The monkey king leads the monkey group, and is equipped with guard monkeys and sentinel monkeys. Usually, there are about a hundred monkeys per group. They are active during the day foraging. It sleeps on cliffs at night and mainly eats plants. It is an omnivorous animal. There are also free macaque performances in the scenic spot, with 6 performances per day.
