The Maitreya Hall in the Jokhang Temple is a relatively large Buddhist hall in the temple. There is an exquisite statue of Maitreya Buddha enshrined in the hall. In the past, this statue of Buddha was carried along Barkhor Street every year during the Dharma Assembly. On the left and right sides of Maitreya Buddha are the statues of Manjusri Bodhisattva and Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, and next to these two Bodhisattva statues is a statue of Tara in lotus posture. On the wall of the hall, there are four guardian gods in angry appearance.

In the lower left corner of the Buddhist hall, you can see a stone goat. According to legend, this goat is a holy goat that fills Wotang Lake with soil.
