Majianlek, in Uighur, means a place with many beads. It is located on the first terrace on the west bank of Keriya Riverbed in Hotan County, more than 230 kilometers away from Yutian County, Hotan, Xinjiang in the south. The terrain here is low-lying, surrounded by sand beams, like the bottom of a cauldron, densely covered with sand dunes in the middle, and a large number of pottery, iron, lacquer, beads, burned and unburned are scattered on the ground between the sand dunes. The cultural layer of the ruins is only found on the surface, with sparse accumulation and few relics, including 2179 pieces of iron and about 33 pieces of pottery.
