Maokong Cable Car, referred to as Mao Cable, is a sightseeing cable car with four stations in total, namely Zoo Station, Zoo Station, Zhizhigong Station and Maokong Station. The whole journey takes about 17 minutes. The Maokong cable car connects the Maokong mountain area, and you can see the entire Maokong scenic area from the high position in the carriage. The Maokong Cable Car Zoo stands next to the Taipei Zoo. Go to the visitor center to consult and get a map and introduction about the Maokong Scenic Spot. It is usually necessary to queue up to take the cable car, and the queue is divided into two lines: ordinary carriages and crystal carriages. The bottom plate of the crystal car is made of fully transparent tempered glass. In the car, you can look up at the mountain scenery in the distance, and lower your head to enjoy the scenery passing by. The Maokong tea garden is like a miniature landscape, with neat rows of tea trees arranged regularly, like terraced fields ,quite splendid. Take a bus to the inner station of the zoo, and you will pass above the zoo. You can hear the sounds of animals. This station is inside the Taipei Zoo. The third stop on the top is Zhinan Temple Station, which is a famous temple in Taipei City, mainly dedicated to Lu Dongbin. There will be an obvious downhill slope between the Zoo Station and the Guide Palace Station, which is a bit exciting, so you need to be mentally prepared. After a later climb, we arrived at the terminal station - Maokong Station. Maokong is also a well-known tea tasting place in Taipei. It is very enjoyable to come here to drink tea, chat, and watch the night view with relatives and friends. Maokong is particularly beautiful at night. If you are not in a hurry, it is recommended to stay on the top of the mountain for a leisurely half-day. First, you can wait for the crowds of tourists to dissipate. Second, you can enjoy the quiet night on the top of Maokong Mountain, overlooking the night view of Taipei, and even Taipei 101.
