Mengding Mountain got its name from "rain, mist and mist", and it was called "Xishu leaking sky" in ancient times. Since ancient times, it has been called the three famous mountains in central Sichuan together with Qingcheng and Emei, and is known as "the top of the world is elegant".
As early as the Western Han Dynasty, Mengding Mountain had already formed beliefs in the gods of Nuwa, Dayu and tea. The "Declaration of Mengding Mountain World Tea Culture" adopted by the 8th International Tea Culture Symposium in 2004 declared that Mengding Mountain is the birthplace of world tea civilization, the birthplace of world tea culture, and the holy mountain of world tea culture. The area of the scenic spot is 45 square kilometers, with an altitude of 1456 meters. There are ancient ginkgo groups more than 2,000 years ago, 1,500-year-old tea trees, yews and 27 kinds of rare birds in the scenic area. The forest coverage rate reaches 98%. The air is rich in 30,000 negative oxygen ions. The highest temperature here in summer is only 25°, with abundant rain all year round, surrounded by clouds and mist in four seasons, moderate temperature difference, and pleasant climate. It is an ideal place for the growth of all things and the survival of human beings. It is also the central acupuncture point called by the ancient astronomer Yuan Tiangang as "the cycle of heaven, the great confluence of water, and the great gathering of qi".
