The Menghuan Great Golden Pagoda is located on the top of Leiyarang Mountain at an altitude of 1079.6 meters in the southeast of Mangshi. It is said that "Sakyamuni" lived here when he was reincarnated as a golden rooster. Hundreds of years after the Buddha's Nirvana, Buddhist disciple "Zhao Han Da" came to this mountain to practice in person in order to spread the teachings of Buddha. Because of the good environment, the weeds and thorns are all out of the way, so it is called Leiya Rang Mountain, which means the place where the weeds are out of the way. Later, a pagoda was built on this mountain. It has been recognized as one of the Buddhist holy places since ancient times.

The entire pagoda is 76 meters high, with a diameter of 50 meters at the base of the pagoda. The main hall on the first floor covers an area of ​​2,000 square meters. There are four Buddha statues in the east, west, south, and north of the central square pillar. There are 16 uniquely shaped towers built on the outer platforms of the second and third floors, and there are 16 white marble Buddha statues in the tower pavilions. The main body of the tower is a bell-shaped tower, with 8 small towers on the second and third floors, and 8 exquisite vase towers on the outer platform of the fourth floor. The main pillar above the base is built with a big bell and 13 bowls. At the highest point, there is a big golden dome weighing 2.3 tons. It can be called the first golden pagoda in China and the first hollow pagoda in Asia. Tall and straight, majestic and magnificent.
