Mengle Cultural Park is located in the eastern outskirts of Jinghong City, at the confluence of Lancang River and Liusha River, beside the road from Jinghong to Olive Dam. Monkey Mountain consists of monkeys of various species.
The Mengle Museum has a rich collection, displaying more than a thousand pieces of fine cultural relics reflecting the history and culture of Xishuangbanna, including silver handicrafts of the Dai royal family, brocades with fine workmanship and bright patterns, ancient national costumes, religious items, and national musical instruments. More than a thousand pieces of precious cultural relics show Xishuangbanna's long history and splendid national culture, which are worth stopping by.
The Cultural Park is located within the ruins of the Dai Palace, where there are Tazhuang Mu, Tazhuang Dong, Shengquan, ancient trenches and other historical sites left by the Dai Palace. Both are sacred objects in the minds of Theravada Buddhist believers. Every year, a large number of local Dai people and believers from Thailand, Laos and other places come to worship here, and it is very lively. The holy spring is located on the top of the Mengle Cultural Park. The spring water is cold and sweet. The water level is consistent all year round, and it is as clear and bright as a mirror.
Mengle Cultural Park was formerly known as Monkey Mountain, and there are still more than 10 species of macaques in captivity, including the world's first artificially bred albino macaque, pocket marmosets from South America, and white-cheeked gibbons from the tropical rainforest of Xishuangbanna. Wait, watch the quirky monkeys playing in the forest, and experience the joy of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
