It is an institution of higher learning for Tibetan lamas and a national 3A-level key cultural relic protection unit. The monastery is the first Buddhist academy in Tibet. It is located in a valley surrounded by mountains in Tabalin Village, Zhaqi Township, Zha Nang County. Minzhulin sits west and faces east, and directly in front of it is an open valley with beautiful mountains and rivers. Its main building is Zulakang, which is divided into three floors. Lakang is located in the four directions of southeast, northwest, and 10 copper towers of different sizes.
The main inheritance of Minzhulin Temple is based on the inheritance of father and son or Weng and son-in-law, which does not completely limit the blood relationship. It is one of the important branches of Nyingma Sect. High historical research value. The monks of Minzhulin Temple not only study Buddhism, but also teach culture, medicine, astronomy, calendar and other knowledge. It is a famous Buddhist academy in Tibet, and is responsible for compiling and revising the "Tibetan Calendar" and sending it to the whole Tibetan area.
