The Mongolian Origin Tourist Area is located in Ejin Horo Banner, Ordos, where Genghis Khan’s mausoleum is located. The tourist area is positioned as the “National Film and Television Industry Base and Grassland Civilization Expo Park” and is divided into three functional areas: culture, tourism, and film and television. The content covers Mongolian and Yuan court culture display, film and television shooting and production, large-scale indoor and outdoor performances, water feature projects, entertainment interactive experience, leisure and vacation, domestic and foreign academic forums and cultural exhibitions, etc.
At present, Tengger Square, Chongtian Gate, Taiye Pool, Republic of China City, Antique Village, Sandstone Cape, Ancient City Haizi, Marizma Obo and other scenic spots are open in the first phase. The second phase will open Yuandadu, Yuanshangdu, Harahe Forest, Temujin camp and other scenic spots.
