The main peak of Moon Mountain is 1490.3 meters above sea level, with a relative height difference of more than 1100 meters. The mountain is majestic and tall, with deep and long valleys. Because it is located in the south subtropical zone, the climate is warm and humid, and there are many kinds of rare animals and plants, it is known as the "gene bank of species". There are a number of animals and plants contemporaneous with dinosaurs, such as scrofula, spinosa and so on. In addition to common rare animals and plants, there are also extremely rare luminous snakes, crisp snakes, seven-tailed snakes, and beautiful snakes.
The original vegetation of Moon Mountain is intact, and the natural scenery is unique. There are more than 80 peaks above 1,000 meters, and there is a typical "watershed" on the top of the main peak. There are many waterfalls hanging high in the forest, and there are forests beside the water. Moon Mountain Miao is an extremely ancient branch of the Miao people in southeast Guizhou. It preserves many primitive cultural customs and is called "the history museum of Miao culture" by relevant experts and scholars.
