It is the earliest and largest temple in Hohhot, hence the name. 

The gate of the temple faces west, with a width of 3 rooms. Enter the main entrance and face the back wall of the worship hall. The main building, the worship hall, is a traditional Chinese architectural form, with 5 rooms wide, the middle is the hall door, and 4 rooms on both sides are equipped with carved lattice square windows. The top of the hall has distinct layers. Hooked and connected, there are several pointed pavilions. Increase the lighting in the hall, and increase its exquisiteness and beauty. There are 25 halls in total, which can accommodate 500 people to worship at the same time. The two sides in front of the hall are lecture halls. The east side used to be a passage hall, but now it is changed to a reception hall. The backyard of the temple sits north and faces south as a bathing room. In the southwest corner stands a four-story hexagonal moon-watching building, which is a characteristic building of the temple. The six-sided wall and window partitions are installed in intervals, and the top is a hexagonal spire. , Hohhot has a panoramic view. The overall building of the temple is dominated by traditional Chinese architecture, with a neat layout and solemnity.
