Armor Mountain was originally named Ali Cuori, also known as "Songduoba Hot Mountain" and "Nianbo Tea Hot Mountain". According to legend, they are a couple, and the other snow mountains around are their children.
The part near the top of Armor Mountain is entirely composed of slate rocks, with long and distinct meridians, and several layers of long steps are formed by weathering. From April to May every year, after part of the snow melts on the slate cliffs, it appears from a distance. It is similar to the pattern on the armor worn by ancient soldiers, so it is called Armor Mountain.
