The so-called trails are urban trails that can only be walked on. Chongqing is a city built on mountains, and the drop between many adjacent places is as high as tens of meters. The traffic can only rely on this kind of urban trails that climb up and down. Some famous trails in the past were very prosperous, and many old ruins in Chongqing are beside these trails. With the large-scale reconstruction of the old city and the improvement of traffic conditions, these trails have gradually lost their function, and some have disappeared or become deserted. Some famous sites in the surrounding area are gradually forgotten by people and disappear in the long river of history...

The restored third walkway is representative of it. This trail is located on the southward slope of the Yuzhong Peninsula, from north to south, successively passing through Zhongshan Hospital, Kangjian Hall, Bodhi Vajra Pagoda, the former site of Renai Hall in France, and a suspended plank road. The total length is 1,748 meters, and a series of Traditional neighborhoods and historical and cultural relics. The highest point of the trail is near the Bodhi Vajra Pagoda, and the lowest point is at the entrance of Shancheng Lane, with a height difference of 79.5 meters. It is a mountain city trail with Chongqing urban characteristics.
