Not far to the southwest of Dushanzi is a mud volcano, which is bare. The name of Dushanzi comes from this mud volcano. On the top of the mud volcano, there are circular or oval magma eruptions, and the mud accumulates on the ground in a cone shape. Some craters erupt violently, accompanied by the sound of gurgling.

Mud volcanoes are rare natural sights. The mud volcanoes here are still erupting continuously.
