Entering Shihezi Recreation Square, the first thing that catches the eye is the musical fountain. The musical fountain has been completely new since it was reconstructed in 1998. Now it covers an area of 1,600 square meters and is about 96 meters long. The main body is composed of plum blossom pool, square pool and two long pools on the left and right. The musical fountain was designed by Mr. Rong Jibao of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and jointly assisted by Mr. Zhong Namin. There are more than a dozen patterns such as dandelion, cross flower, spiral flower, cedar, and dynamic color bridge. Lasers can also be used to form various characters and peculiar patterns on the upward splashing water, which is dazzling and dizzying.
