In summer, water and grass are plentiful, and there are small flowers growing on the grassland. Sheep, cattle, and horses graze in groups, blending with the grassland. In autumn, the grassland is golden, and the snow peaks are reflected in the lake. In the dry season of winter and spring, the lake shrinks or even dries up, turning into a large swamp. There is an eight-petal lotus white pagoda at the entrance of the scenic spot. There are only two such pagodas in the world, and the other one is in India.

Napa Lake is not far from Shangri-La County. If you plan to charter a car, you can use it as one of the stops and play with other attractions. In addition to chartered cars, another main way to visit Napa Lake is to ride a bicycle around the lake. The whole journey is about 40 kilometers, and it takes about three to four hours to cycle around. The grasslands, lakes, and snow-capped mountains along the road are beautiful, and what is even more surprising is that the section of the road entering the county can overlook Songzanlin Temple in the distance.

The road around the lake is relatively flat, there are no sharp bends, and the road is very wide. You can ride, play and take pictures. If you are physically fit, it is recommended to ride a bicycle. It should be noted that it is necessary to ride clockwise along the lake, so that the landscape belt of the road around the lake on the west side will be downhill all the way, which can be easily visited, but there will be some relatively long uphill on the 214 National Road back to the city, but It will not affect the mood of watching the scenery.
