In Tibetan, it is called "Nianduhugar Zhaxi Dajilin", which means "Nianduhu is auspicious and prosperous continent". It is located at the foot of Beishan, the seat of Nianduhu Township Government, 1km north of Tongren County, Qinghai Province. According to the records in "History of Politics and Religion in Amdo", Nianduhu Temple was first built by Dan Zhiqin, and it became the subordinate temple of Longwu Temple during the period of the third Xia Ri Canggen Don Chilie.
