Jiuquwan is located at the junction of the Greater Khingan Mountains and the Inner Mongolia Plateau. It is located in the east of the Uragai Management Area of Xilin Gol League in Inner Mongolia and on the northeast side of the Uragai Lake. It is named "Nine Bends" because of its natural beauty.
