Shapotou Kowloon Bay Scenic Area is located at the foot of the majestic Taiqing Mountain, above the Taotao Yellow River, on the edge of the vast Tengger Desert, in the quiet sand botanical garden, connected end to end with Shapotou, and dependent on sand and water. It is a tourist area in Shapotou In the west area, the core area of the scenic spot is composed of more than 3,000 acres of desert and a 6-kilometer-long desert river bank. Here, the Yellow River forms a 290° turn, forming the shape of the Yin-Yang Eight Diagrams, which can be called "natural treasures and scenic spots on earth".
The scenic spot is backed by the desert, fronted by the Yellow River, overlooking the mountains and overlooking the plains, with peculiar natural scenery, majestic momentum and grand scale. The terrain is high in the west and low in the east, with a drop of 166 meters. It is composed of deserts, the Yellow River, mountains, canyons, oases, the Great Wall, sand sculptures, Neolithic sites, ancient border fortresses and other historical sites. The gate of the scenic spot is beside the SD201 provincial road and railway, 1800 meters away from the exit of GZ35 expressway, the main national highway, and 26 kilometers away from Xiangshan Airport.
