The North Peak is 1614 meters above sea level and is one of the main peaks of Huashan Mountain. It is named for its location in the north. The North Peak is suspended on all sides, majestic and unique, like a cloud platform, so it is also called Yuntai Peak. There is a platform at the top of the North Peak, which is a good place to enjoy the panoramic view of the three peaks of Huashan Mountain and Canglong Ridge. The trees at the waist of the peak are lush and graceful, and it is an ideal place to rest on the way to the top of Mount Hua.

On the top of the North Peak is the Taoist Temple of Zhenwu, built against the mountain, with unique shapes and pleasant scenery. Zhenwu Hall was built to worship Emperor Zhenwu, the god of the north. The present building was rebuilt in 1988. It leans on the cliff, simple and elegant, and preserves the style of the original building, becoming one of the main cultural landscapes of Beifeng.

The North Peak is the key point for climbing the other four peaks. Although it is not as high as the other peaks, the mountain is very steep. There are three cliffs on three sides, and only one mountain leads to the south. The situation is very dangerous and it is easy to defend and difficult to attack.
