Yangling Expo Park, also known as Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University Expo Park, includes Shaw Science and Technology Museum Zoo Museum and Insect Museum, Soil Museum, Plant Museum, China Agricultural History Museum, 5 professional museums and Butterfly Garden, Plant Classification Garden, Arboretum and various species. It is an important subject base integrating teaching, scientific research and science popularization.
Yangling Expo Park is a group of museums established by the school on the basis of integrating scientific and educational resources. It comprehensively and systematically publicizes the knowledge of agricultural science and technology and demonstrates the achievements of agricultural science and technology in my country. During the long-term construction and development of Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University for more than 70 years, it has made remarkable achievements in agricultural science and education. In particular, several generations of agricultural science and education experts in Yangling have accumulated a large number of precious animals, plants, soil and insect specimens (physical objects) ) and agricultural history collections have become important science and education resources for schools.
At present, the exhibition halls and outdoor display areas of the Expo Park are open to the public. Among them, the Insect Museum has 6 exhibition halls, using a large number of modern display methods such as photoelectric models, phantom imaging, and multimedia technology, to systematically show visitors a world of insects full of wonders. There is a butterfly net room outside the museum, which is used for breeding research and viewing of butterflies and various insects.
