The construction of Nuwa Temple can be traced back to the Qin Dynasty, which has a history of more than 2,000 years. In 1986, a wooden plank map of the Qin tomb was unearthed in Mumatan, Tianshui, in which the No. 2 icon of the Hulu River has a pavilion-shaped object. According to scholars' textual research, this pavilion-shaped object should be the Nuwa Temple. Hu Zongzong also recorded in "Qin Anzhi" that the Nuwa Temple was "built before the Han Dynasty".
