Laohei Mountain is also called Heilong Mountain, commonly known as Xianren Mountain. It is 515.9 meters above sea level and is a dormant volcano. It is one of the typical volcanoes in Wudalianchi and the tallest among the 14 volcanoes. Due to the typical landform, the mountains and forests are mostly composed of black pumice. The green vegetation in summer and the white snow in winter can't hide its black luster, so it is called Heilong Mountain. There are winding roads on the east and north sides of Laohei Mountain to reach the top of the mountain. The crater on the top of the mountain is shaped like a funnel, with a diameter of about 350 meters and a depth of about 140 meters. The inner wall is steep and deep without bottom. There are walking trails around the crater, overlooking the awe-inspiring crater floor. Laoheishan is surrounded by lava platforms. More than 200 years ago, when the volcano erupted, the lava flowed south along the Baihe River, forming a 10-kilometer-long "Stone Dragon". The stone dragon scene is rare in the world and has become the landscape of Laoheishan. From a distance, it looks like the turbulent waves of the sea, but from a short-sighted view, it looks like craggy rocks, with various poses and different poses, which are shocking like bears and tigers. The peculiar lava tunnel and the stalactites in the lava cavity are like pyramids and thorns, which are tightly attached to the four walls of the cave, which is a spectacle. It can be said that Laoheishan is an excellent place to watch lava formations.
