Shangxing Station is located in the north of Xihai Town, 0.5 kilometers away from the second branch factory. In the 1960s, after my country's first atomic bomb was assembled in the No. 2 branch factory, it was transported to Lop Nur, Xinjiang by a zero-time special train at the "Shangxing Station". At that time, out of confidentiality and safety considerations, the design of the satellite station was very simple. There were no buildings on the 30-meter-long platform except a few arch beams for hoisting. But it was such a platform that did not meet the standard of a third-level platform even at that time, but it carried the Republic's dream of developing the nuclear industry.
Shangxingtai is a building that has witnessed the glorious history of China. Now Shangxingtai has become a famous tourist attraction. An old-fashioned locomotive stops here to restore the scene of loading the atomic bomb back then.
